I grew up in a small town on the west Ligurian coast in Italy, Bordighera. Around ten thousands people live there, but the population doubles during the summer.
In fact, Bordighera is a popular holiday destination for families and retired people in the North-West of Italy.
I don't live in Bordighera anymore, but I go back to visit sometimes.
I started to photograph my hometown during summer, trying to get some postcards that would show what the place is like for me.
With time, this project evolved, at the point that I am not sure anymore what it is about. I think it became just an excuse to collect pictures of things that are important to me, a sort of private postcard album, a souvenir from the Riviera.ongoing)
